Embossing Two Ways

It’s time for a new challenge over at The Flower Challenge and this month it is all about embossing!

Here is the card I made for the challenge using Altenew’s stamps and stencil.

I started with the background and used some BoBunny Sparkle paste to give a little shimmer to the background. The shine in this paste is beatuiful and I can say that after at least two years it is still spreadable (which is not the case for some of the other brands I have in my stash.)

While my background was drying, I started on my flowers. I wanted embossing to be the focus of my card so I picked this Frosted Garden set so that it would show off the beautiful WOW Embossing Powder. I love the sparkle and mixture of color of this powder.

After all of my flowers were heat embossed, I used my Big Shot and dies to cut them out and worked on the placement. I wanted the flower to look like the were growing around the sentiment, so kept adding layer using 3D glue dots.

I finished the card with some white embossing on navy paper and am all set to send my card with my mom in time for Mother’s Day.
