Bright Flower from PaperArtsy

I’m over at the Topflight Stamps Blog today with a Bright card perfect for spring. I hope you had a wonderful Easter and spring has come to your part of the world if not hopefully this card will brighten things up.

I love this big bloom and its fun doodles. I started off by embossing the flower and leaves with blue embossing powder and then used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the images. I love how easy it is to blend these markers and make pretty shades.

I cut out the images and set them aside and started on the background. I used a stencil and lightly blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide to give the background a little color and pattern. I then stamped some doodles (included in the stamp set) around the edge in Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to give the background a little more interest.

I added the sentiment in Versfine Ink and clear heat embossed it so it would stand out against the background. I attached the images with foam tape to give the card a little dimension.
