Sketched Floral Background with Color Bursts

Today I’m playing with a beautiful background stamp from Erin Lee Creative and some Color Bursts from Ken Oliver.

I started by stamping the background on watercolor paper using Versamark ink and heat embossing it in WOW Metallic Platinum. The fine lines of the flowers are so pretty and the embossing powder added just the right amount of shine.

I then used the Cornflower Color Bursts and sprinkled the powder around on the flowers and lightly misted to activate them. I let the layer dry and then used the Chartreuse Color Burst to fill in the rest of the background.

I didn’t want to cover this beautiful background, so I stamped the sentiment on vellum in the same WOW embossing powder and attached it to the back of the card. I finished the card with some clear sequins to add a little more shine.

I love the look the Color Bursts give this beautiful background and I can’t wait to play with this stamp set some more. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
