I have had so much fun being a part of the Design Team for Topflight Stamps. I love the variety of stamps Topflight has and it was so hard to figure out what to make for this awesome Blog Hop. So after much debate I narrowed it down to these images from 13@arts and Carabelle Studio.
If you follow me, you know that I love using flowers on my cards and Topflight Stamps carries a beautiful variety. These are just some of favorites I’ve collected.
I started by blending Distress Oxides on Bristol Smooth paper, I used several combinations I saw on Kristina Werner’s blog. For this card, I used Old Paper, Evergreen Bough, and Black Soot. I love this unique color combo and thought that the Emerald Creek embossing powder in Midnight Magic would make this flower from 13@arts pop out.
This embossing powder is awesome and has black chunks mixed in to give the image a variegated texture. So fun! I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder to help it stand out against the black soot ink. I then finished it by spritzing a little water on the background and adding some sequins.
For my second card, I used the Distress Oxide color combo of Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Blueprint Sketch.
This color combo is perfect for this detailed Carabelle Studio flower. Once the Distress Oxides were dry, I stamped the image in Versamark ink and white heat embossed it.
The sentiment is from the 13@arts set above and I love the handwritten look.
Here is another look at the two cards.
Below is the Blog Hop order, please visit and comment on each post to enter for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate or a $15 Gift Certificate by April 8th.
Winners will be announced on the Topflight Stamps blog on April 9th. Good Luck!

Emerald Creek’s embossing powders are new to me, and wow. I don’t think I would have been brave enough to go with a colored embossing powder with those background colors, but I love how it turned out. Thanks for sharing and showing off those stamp sets so nicely.

Emerald Creek makes some beautiful embossing powders. Your creations are so pretty. Great color choices, especially love the black soot/evergreen/old paper combo. I’ll be using that as inspiration for sure.
