Its time for the reminder post for The Flower Challenge using our Latest Stamp or Die.
This time I decided to use this Sweet Bouquet set from Altenew. I love the flowers but often times am a little intimated with the whole layering of stamps. Having a stamp positioner like the MISTI definitely helps.
I started by stamping the flowers on some white card stock using the Altenew mini ink set in Rose Petal. This always helps take the guess work out of the process since I know that these colors will always work together. After I was done stamping my flowers I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
INSIDER TIP: This set with the coordinating dies are on SALE today HERE. Not like I would enable you (ok maybe just a little lol.)
I then took another piece of card stock and stamped the leaves in Green Meadows where I thought I wanted the flowers to go. I then attached the flowers with some 3D glue dots for added dimension.
I finished the card off with a sentiment form Pinkfresh in Versfine ink and clear heat embossed it. I also added a little gold spray and some gold sequins in my stash.
I had a chance to make a second card and played around with how these flowers would look on Kraft paper.
I started by stamping the first layers of the flowers and leaves in white and then adding the lightest color onto the white layer once it was dry. It was a little muted so after all my stamping was dry, I used some polychromos color pencils to add a little more dimension and color to the images.
I finished the card with another sentiment from Pinkfresh heat embossed in white and added some clear sequins.
Here are my two cards together. Which one do you prefer?
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to check out the beautiful cards from my fellow DT members as well as submit your own work in our challenge!

Both cards are beautiful, Ericka! But if I have to choose, the second one is my favorite. I love pencil colored flowers on kraft paper! Btw great layering stamping! Without MISTI I’d be lost in layered stamping :)!

Both cards are fantastic, Ericka. I like the leaves stamped on the card base with the flowers popped up. Coloring on kraft gives such a different look that I adore. Mixing ink and pencils gave wonderful dimension to the flowers.

WOW!! What a pair of gorgeous cards, I can’t pick a favorite. I do love the layering stamps, but you must have a juicy stamp pad and the MISTI for sure, these flowers are beautiful. And I always love the coloring on Kraft paper and your second card is a stunner, amazing coloring with the Polychromos, love it!!!
Fabulous cards, teammate.
