Bright Blooms

I’m over at the Topflight Stamp blog today with a bright watercolor card using Color Bursts. If you aren’t familiar with Color Bursts they are pigment powders that activate when yet to produce gorgoeus colors. Just a word of caution when using these, a little goes a long way so be careful or your desk may turn colors.

I started by stamping the floral image on watercolor paper and white heat embossing it. Then I started playing with three colors of Color Bursts – Peony, Cadmium Scarlet, and Lemon Yellow.

I started with the yellow and sprayed water on the paper, adding the other colors and drying parts of the paper. I then set it aside to dry.

Once the paper was dry, I masked of part of the sentiment that was included in the set. I inked it up with some Versfine ink and clear heat embossed it. To finish of the card I attached it to a black card base and added some black Nuvo Drops.
