Part of You

I’m over at the Topflight Stamps blog today with a simple watercolor card using a stencil and large sentiment from Darkroom Door.

I love this beautiful sentiment and it can be used in the inside of a card as well.

For some of us, the holidays are a reminder of the loved ones we are missing. This sentiment is a perfect reminder for me that although they might not be with us, they will forever be a part of us.

I started by placing some watercolor paper on my craft mat and taping it down. I also taped the stencil down to ensure it would stay in place. I took a paint brush and lightly brushed water over the stencil and then dropped in the Pinkfresh Liquid Watercolors.

Once it was dry, I white heat embossed the sentiment and then added some sequins and added it to a card base.

For the second card, I used Bristol Smooth paper and an ink blending tool with Distress Oxides in Victorian Velvet and Chipped Sapphire.

The ink blends so well on the Bristol. Once it was dry, I stamped the setniment in Versmark ink and white heat embossed it.
