Christmas Poinsettias

I’m over on the Topflight Stamp blog today with two Christmas cards using a set from Crafty Individuals Festively Ornamental stamp set, because you can never have too many Christmas cards.

Here is my first one I made using Distress Oxides.

I started by stamping the image on Bristol Smooth paper in Versamark ink and white heat embossing it. I then used Distress Oxides in Victorian Velvet and Chipped Sapphire and blended them together, I love these two colors together and thought they would go well together for a Christmas card.

I used Sharpie markers to add a little more color to these gorgeous poinsettias. I then white heat embossed the sentiment from a Sizzix set.

I wanted a little more sparkle to the card, so as a finishing touch I add some Shimmerz Paint Shimmeringz.

For my second card,  I used the same set but heat embossed the flowers in gold.

I colored the flowers with Artza Real Brush Markers and then added some gold embossed lines and a sentiment from The Ton.
