Sunflower Garden

It’s December and that means we are busy with all things holidays! It also means we have a new challenge over at The Flower Challenge.

This month the challenge is to use an older Stamp or Die. I don’t know about you, but I’m really good at collecting stamps lol. I love using them but once I use them, I tend to move on to another one. I love this challenge since it was a great reminder to look in my stash.

I used this beautiful background stamp from the Ton. I love these flowers but decided to paint them a bit differently than the regular sunflowers. I stamped the background stamp in my MISTI using Versamark ink and then gold heat embossed the image.

I love the way the main flower came out. I used a water brush to pull the color from the inside of the leaves towards the outside. Once I was finished with the flowers, I added a light blue background and then adhered it to a light card base.
