Cup of Cheer

Its the 15th which means it is time for another A Blog Named Hero Challenge. This month’s challenge is grateful which is perfect since the holidays are coming up and I have lots of thank you cards to make!

Here is my card using the fun set called Coffee Cup Tags from Hero Arts.

I started by stamping the coffee cup in Neon Ombre ink on Neenah Solar paper. Then I used my color pencils and gel pen to color in the flower decorations on the cup.

I then created a mask for the cup and a circle stencil out of scratch paper so that I could blend a background. I used Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink with a blending tool. Then I added some shimmer with Shimmeringz Goldie Lox Spray. The spray adds a nice shimmer to the background. I also used a little sparkle pen on the cup.

Once everything was dry, I stamped the sentiments in Versafine ink and clear heat embossed them. I attached the card to some red card stock and added some clear Nuvo drops.
