No Regrets

I’m over at the Topflight blog with some simple cards using the Visible Images No Regrets set. I love these sentiments and wanted to make a simple card with them since there were so many great messages. I’m also taking the Online Card Class – Color Theory and used the lesson on Primary and Secondary Colors to make this rainbow card.

I created a simple watercolor background on watercolor paper using three Daniel Smith Watercolors and mixed them in the middle to create an orange and purple. Once it was dry, I white heat embossed the Visible Image sentiment.

For the second card I used Infusions for the background and misted an old manila folder.

Once the first layer of color was dry, I used a plastic sheet with some of the color to smoosh additional texture onto the paper. When this was dry, I took a Lavina Background stamp and inked it up with some Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide.

I then white heat embossed the sentiment and added a little gel pen to highlight one of the hearts.
