Autumn Wreaths

I’m playing along with the Where Creativity Meets C9 and the color challenge for the month of September.

Here is my first card using the Wreath Turnabout set from Concord & 9th.

I first started by creating a template for the stamping the turnabout in my MISTI. There are several great YouTube video to show how this is down. Basically you cut a 6×6 scratch paper and then use a pencil to draw a line from corner to corner. When you are finished your should have an “X” with the center being where the lines intersect. Then use the template in the back of the stamp to line the stamp up in your stamping tool.

I used Altenew inks for the different sections of the turnabouts and then used some Shimmerz in similar colors to add some shine to the wreath. I used a die cut in my stash and then cut another piece of card stock slightly bigger as a backing and then adhered it to some navy card stock and sprayed it with some gold spray. I die cut the sentiment in dark brown card stock.

For my second card, I used the other portion of the Wreath Turnabout stamp.

I used the same template I created above as well as the same inks. After I was done stamping the wreath I used some distress ink to blend the colors for the background. I stamped the sentiment in Vintage Sepira and clear heat embossed it. To finish off the card, I add some Nuvo drops around the wreath and card and die cut the panel to fit on some brown card stock.
