Sparkle and Shine

I can’t believe it is the middle of August and there is only one week left of summer break! Its been a fun August with a family Disney Cruise to Alaska (I’ll post some tips on that later) and now we are in full swing of getting ready for school.

It is also time for a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero. This month’s challenge is Sparkle & Shine, so I decided to use foil on my card.

I started off by using some cream cardstock and the Hero Arts Scrollwork stencil with Deco Foil Transfer gel. I let the gel dry overnight (the directions say for an hour, but I got busy with other things and so came back the next day.)

I picked out some rainbow Deco Foil in my stash and ran it through my Minc machine. It wasn’t a perfect application but it still did the job.

Afterward I used my die cut machine and cut the hello from the card as well as several times to layer the word. I glued the layers together to add dimension to the sentiment.

A quick easy card with lots of sparkle and shine. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
