Summertime Fun

It’s the June 15th and time for another A Blog Named Hero Challenge. This month the challenge is Summertime Fun.

Nothing screams summertime like Ice Cream, so I pulled out this fun Color Layering Ice Cream set and made a couple of cards. I might have gotten a little carried away but these ice creams were so fun to stamp and play with.

For my first card, I used some Neenah Solar cardstock and stamped the ice cream and cones using Hero Art inks.

After I stamped the images, I fussy cut them out since I didn’t have the dies. I pulled out another piece of cardstock and mad the background by stamping the sprinkles in the same inks as well as some in Versamark ink and heat embossing it with Silver Sparkle embossing powder. I stamped the sentiments in Versfine ink and clear heat embossed them. I added the images with some foam tape.

As a finishing touch I added some Nuvo drops as sprinkles on top of the ice cream for some added dimension.

For my second and third cards, I used Tombow Markers and colored on the stamps and misted them with water and then stamped them onto Bristol Smooth cardstock.

I fussy cut these out and then designed my cards.

I stamped the sprinkles with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with various colors of embossing powders.

On this one I used the markers and a sparkle pen to blend them for the background as well as a couple of Nuvo drops around the sentiment.
