You are My Sunshine

I’m playing along with the Ellen Hutson Pin – Sights Challenge with this fun Essentials by Ellen All Inside set.

I recently received a set of Avery Elle’s awesome liquid watercolors from an Ellen Hutson blog hop. I thought they would make the perfect background for a rainbow card.

I took some watercolor paper and wet it down and dropped bits of color on to the paper letting them blend together. Once the first layer dried, I added some more color to the places that I wanted a little brighter. Aren’t these colors gorgeous?

Once the panel was dry, I used the dies and made the sun and heart also using the same watercolors. I stamped the sun image and then added some sparkle pen to the images. I smooshed both die cuts in some Versamark ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder to give a little shine to the sparkle.

I added the die cuts with some foam tape and added the sentiment with Versafine ink and heat embossed. I die cut the watercolor paper to add a some interest around the edge and attached it to a light blue card stock. I then added some Nuvo drops to complement the rainbow look.
