Sketchy Thank You

I’m playing along with the Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge with two fun cards.

I’ve been on a distress oxide kick and decided to make this background with them. For my first card, I took some photo paper and the line stamp from set Bags and Tags set and inked it up with Picked Raspberry and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide.

I lightly spritzed it with some water and stamped it on the photo paper with my MISTI. I did the same thing with the sentiment. Then I took some distressed oxide ink in my craft mat, spritzed it with water and used my paint brush to flick specks on the card.

Once the card was dry, I used a soft rag and rubbed off the oxides paint to reveal these bright colors. (My favorite part of the process) and used Distress Micro Glaze to seal the oxides into the paper. I added the flower die cut from the set Floral and Flutter.

I cut the flower out twice from white cardstock. I used some Veramark ink and blotted the flower and heat embossed it in gold several times. I then took a sparkle pen to the top layer for more shine. I popped the flowers up with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension and then added gold sequins to finish the card.

For my second card, I used the similar process but with Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides.

I stamped the sentiment in Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide. I die cut the butterfly twice and used some Heidi Swapp Color Shine to give the butterflies some color. I added them to the card with some foam adhesive and finished the card with some green sequins.
