Wildflower Spotlight

Its no secret that I love coloring flowers. So I decided to ink up my very first Concord & 9th stamp set Wildflowers. There are some great images in this stamp set and its easy to create your own unique bouquets.

I started out by stamping and masking the flowers in Hero Arts Soft Granite Ink on Watercolor paper. I then took out the grayish colors in Zig Clean Color and colored in all the flowers except the one I wanted to highlight. For that flower I decided to go with an orange and yellow, however when it was dry I felt it was too bright. I then painted on a pink dusty rose color to blend it all in better. Once it was all dry, I took some Antique Linen ink on a craft mat to use it as a watercolor for the background.

I wanted a simple sentiment so I stamped the Hello Lovely set in black Versafine and clear heat embossed it. I added some pewter and clear sequins as embellishments.
