Holiday Color

I’ve started my holiday card making sessions because when December hits you can never have too many handmade cards to give away. I’m also playing along with the MarkerPop Challenge #132

I have a lot of Christmas cards to make so I made several versions.

My first version, I stamped this Hero Arts image (discontinued) on Bristol Smooth Paper in Versamark ink and white heat embosssed it. I blended some Distress Oxides in the following colors: Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Broken China, and Wilted Violet. I love how easy it is to blend these Distress Oxides!

I spritzed some water on my hand and then flicked it on the paper.  After I adhered it to the cardbase, I white heat embossed this sentiment from SugarPea Designs. For added sparkle, I tied this tinsel I got from the Target Dollar Spot on top.

My second card used the same stamp set, I just changed the color blending to include: Distress Ink in Seedless Preserve and Picked Raspberry as well and the Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar. The sentiment is from Sunny Studio Holiday Style.

For my third card, I heat embossed the image in gold and used Distress Oxides in Peacock and Salty Ocean and Distress Ink in Blueprint and Chipped Sapphire.

I added some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in gold as well as this cute Sleigh Ride sequins from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.
