Mandalas

I recently came across a “new to me” stamp company called Studio Katia and love all the beautiful flowers and cute critters they have for sale. I recently purchased this beautiful Mandala and decided to make some cards and a bookmark.

For the first card, I stamped the Mandala in Versmark ink on some gray cardstock. This gave me a light image that I then could color with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.  Since my cardstock was gray, I decided to put a layer of white and then the selected color on top of the white layer. I then made sure to use my blender pencil to blend it together.

For the sentiment, I used one from So Suzy Stamp and heat embossed it white on some navy cardstock and adhered it with foam tape. I then took my Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops and added some details to the mandala and added some sequins from my stash.

For my second card, I decided to stamp the mandala using my MISTI on some Bristol Smooth paper in Versamark ink and heat emboss it in Brutus Moroe Guilded.  I then took some blues from my Zig Real Brush Markers and watercolored the images. I love how the blues and gold look together!

For the sentiment I used Reverse Confetti’s Walk by Faith set and stamped it in Altenew’s Sapphire Ink and then (using my MISTI) re-stamped it in Versamark ink to clear heat emboss it. I added some Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops to the mandala as well as extra detail on the card.

For the bookmark, I stamped the mandala on a kraft tag and the heat embossed it in Ranger Blue embossing powder. I then used my colored pencils to color the image similar to the way I colored it in my first card.

I stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti’s The Lord’s Strength set and heat embossed it in the same blue embossing powder.
