Father’s Day Cards

Creating masculine cards is always a challenge for me, so I decided to play around with alcohol inks to create some masculine backgrounds (and maybe a couple of girly ones too.)

To use alcohol inks, you need a glossy paper, so I used some Yupo paper and got to work. First I just dropped ink on the paper and let it spread around, Then I also tried using my applicator tool and adding ink to the cotton and dabbing it on the paper. Whenever I wanted to make something a little lighter, I added some Alcohol Blending Solution and just played around. Here is what I came up with:

Once they dried, I then picked out some cardstock and adhered them. I originally tried stamping on them but because they are so dark didn’t like the look. So instead, I took my Reverse Confetti Happy Pretty Panel and die cut it in matching cardstock. I then added the stamped sentiment from RC Whole Lotta Happy.
