I love making birthday cards and here is a simple technique to try using things that you probably already have in your stash.
I was shopping at Target (don’t you love the dollar spot!) and spotted this fun glitter for only $1! So of course I had to pick it up.
I used Bristol Smooth as my card base and took a flat paint brush and Gansai Tambi Watercolor in Dark Pink #34. I then painted stripes not worrying too much if they were perfect or straight. I took some double sided Scor-Tape and sprinkled the glitter over the lines. Its best to then burnish (rub with your finger) the glitter so that it adheres to the tape and the excess falls away.
I then die cut the birthday sentiment (or you can use any sentiment you like) several times and glued them together and put some glossy accents on the top.
And there you have it, a simple birthday card that’s both quick and easy.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
