Altenew Flowers

I love playing along with challenges. They help me get out of a creative funk and expand my creativity using the supplies I have. One of the challenges I follow is Altenew’s Inspiration Challenge.

Here is the card I made for the challenge using the same pallet of colors they had in their example. I used Altenew’s Majestic Bloom Stamp Set.

I love using Zig Clean Brush Pens which are great for water-coloring images. I put the 027 Dark Pink around the darkest edges and then used 025 Pink in the lighter sections. 048 Olive Green was used for the leaves. I wanted a little more highlight on the flowers so i used my gel pen and smudged it a little so the line wouldn’t be as harsh.

Once the flowers were  dry, I took my painters tape and masked off lines on the paper. Using Antique Linen Distress Ink, I blended it into the sections to produce the lines. I let the lines dry, and then used my anti static tool and stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and used some green embossing powder. To finish it off I used Woodland Green Nuvo Drops for a little more detail and an olive green card stock.

I also created another card for this challenge using Hennah Elements. On this one I used my Copics to color the flowers.

After coloring the flowers, I used some Nuvo Drops to add a little dimension with sequins.
